About GIZ
As a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work, the GIZ are dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world. They have over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas, including economic development and employment promotion, energy and the environment, peace, and security. In Rwanda, under the DSSD (Digital Solutions for Sustainable Development), GIZ set up a transformation center which promotes Rwanda’s digital ecosystem. It addresses the challenges faced by start-ups and provides exchange platforms (‘communities of practice’) for diverse interest groups on selected topics.

Project Overview:
As part of the 2020 International Gender Week celebration, GIZ Rwanda wanted to raise awareness around sexual harassment in their workplace by creating AR posters with superimposed audio-visual information that would be scanned by their staff and guests. The posters were translated into Kinyarwanda, French and English to make them more relatable to a wider audience.
